Empowered Women Neons

I worked with Andrea Bowers to design a series of “Empowered Women” neon artworks. The challenge with these (once we’d landed on a visual direction), became staying within the gothic typographic style and using flourishes, but creating enough distinction between designs for them to feel like separate art pieces. I’ve probably designed over 50 versions of this piece at this point, leading to about 10 final designs that ended up being fabricated. It’s been a lot of nerdy typographic fun.
