Eco-Feminist Sycamore Cardboards

Beginning in 2020, I started working on the design for Andrea Bowers’ series of ecofeminist cardboard paintings. The process for these is very meditative for me (and I’m sure for the painters as well). Andrea sends me photos of sycamore branches and eco-feminist text which I use to make digital drawings, selecting colors that would work in flat leaf compositions. This is an ongoing series - a few are included below, along with the final cardboard paintings.
