Abolish ICE Neon

One of my favorite projects I’ve worked on: I was hired by artist Andrea Bowers to design several typographic artworks that she produces out of cardboard and neon lights. This piece was in view at the El Paso Museum of Art from October 2018 through January 2019, as part of a group show called After Posada: Revolution.

I presented several designs, and Andrea selected the option below. I was able to visit her studio to see the piece as it was being built, and it’s so cool in person - the letters are made out of cardboard inset with neon lights, and the piece is around 10 feet tall. Bold and bright. The final design is typeset in Cubano.
